Heartsaver CPR/First Aid/AED


Heartsaver CPR, First Aid, AED

 

Become a lay rescuer by learning how to assess and respond to an emergency until professional help arrives utilizing CPR, basic first aid, and a on-site AED (automated external defibrillator).  Learn the early signs of a heart attack and stroke and relief of choking for adults and children.  Infant CPR and choking is an optional course taught upon request. Course Objective:

  •  First aid steps for medical emergencies:
    • Breathing problems
    • Chest pains and heart attack
    • Fainting
    • Diabetes
    • Stroke
    • Seizures
  • First aid steps for injury emergencies:
    • Bleeding you can see
    • Mouth and tooth injuries
    • Shock
    • Broken bones, sprains, and bruises
    • Bleeding you can't see
    • Burns and electrocution
  • First aid for environmental emergencies:   (Optional)
    • Bites and stings
    • Temperature-related emergencies
    • Poison emergencies
  • Learn and Demonstrate CPR skills
  • Choking
    • List signs of choking
    • How to help a choking victim
    • 911-answering dispatchers questions
  • AED (automated external defibrillator)
    • AED training for victims 1year of age and older

Course Length:

  • First Aid
    • 1.5 hours approx.
  • CPR/AED
    • 2    hours approx.
  • Infant CPR
    • 45min approx. (Optional)

Course Fee's:

  • First Aid/CPR/AED  $70
